FLOWER ART GALERY
ABOUT JO FRANCIS
I am a passionate photographer with many years of international experience in the advertising industry and working for many international brands such as Mont Blanc, Steinway, Chanel, Guerlain, La Prairie, Joop,
Cartier, Maredo, Block House, Milka just to name a few.
After my studies at the NARAFI Photo and Film School in Brussels from 1971 to 1973 I worked with renowned photographers in London, Amsterdam and the well-known Reinhart Wolf in Hamburg before I became self-employed with
my own studio in Hamburg in 1978.
The visualization of the "Scent of Light" in 2011 at the Global Art of Perfumery Fair in Düsseldorf and
the proclamation of the creation of the "divine fragrance" by staging the implementation
based on Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper", an homage to the grand master of image conception
are some of my most passionate works in my career.
I also was responsible for magazine covers for several magazines such as the German “Stern”, “GEO”
and many culinary reports of the magazine “Essen & Trinken” (Food & Drink).
In 2008 I was selected as one of "Germany's Best Photographers" by the NBVD Verlag,
a publishing company focusing on the areas
photography, art, design, advertising and lifestyle and received numerous awards.
Part of my work was exhibited at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe (Museum for Art and Crafts) in Hamburg.
I was also awarded as one of the 200 best ad photographers worldwide in 2008.
Due to my passion for the sensuality of flowers, I lately started concentrating on creating unique photos
specializing on the composition of light and arrangement.
